Taylor Swift Joins Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in SNL Monologue

Amid global acclaim for Ryan Gosling’s portrayal of Ken, Taylor Swift has now added her voice to the chorus of praise.

In a recent Saturday Night Live episode, Ryan Gosling teamed up with Emily Blunt for a memorable monologue. The enduring conflict between Barbie and Oppenheimer took center stage during the SNL skit.

Notably, Gosling and Blunt are set to co-star in the upcoming action comedy ‘The Fall Guy.’ Initially, Gosling had decided to refrain from discussing his iconic role as Ken, but he swiftly changed his mind.

During a piano session, Gosling expressed the emotional toll of embodying a character for so long and likened letting go to a breakup. He acknowledged the therapeutic power of Taylor Swift’s music, singing:

“When you play a character that hard, that long, just letting go feels like a breakup and for processing a breakup, there’s really only one thing that can help: the music of the great Taylor Swift.”

He performed a snippet of a song:

“I shredded Venice Beach, it’s true. My clothes were tight, but something about that spandex felt so right. I forgot my rollerblades at the large pink house, but I still have my fur coat, and I’m going to wear it right away.”

Concluding his song, he remarked:

“I was just Ken, and now I’m just Ryan.”

Blunt, in a humorous tone, urged him to bid farewell to Ken, declaring:

“Ken is dead.”

Despite her playful annoyance, she also took a moment to reflect on her own past roles, including her character in the Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer. She joined in the nostalgic mood, singing:

“Father of the atom bomb and a bottle of jack. I used to be the alcoholic wife of a dude in a hat.”

Taylor Swift, in a gesture of appreciation, shared the SNL monologue clip on social media, adding her endorsement.
