According to data published by Today.com, a 4-person household goes through 17 double rolls or 9 mega rolls in 2 weeks. That’s 4.25 double rolls per person, which amounts to 34 rolls per month!
Why do people use so much toilet paper in America? Many Americans have more than one bowel movement per day, and they’re not exactly smooth. In fact, Bidet Mate found that a large number of people spend between 6-10 minutes or more going number two. Long bowel movements aren’t usually clean, so they require more toilet paper.
Toilet paper is expensive
Most toilet paper comes in 6, 12, or 24 rolls. If you buy expensive brands like Charmin, you can expect to spend around $25 for a 24-pack of toilet paper. If you have a family, you’re spending too much money on toilet paper. If you have small children, it’s almost guaranteed that a large portion of your toilet paper is being wasted.
When you have a bidet, you won’t be flushing money down the toilet. You’ll still need some toilet paper, but your usage will be significantly less.

Are you afraid of using a bidet? Do you resist the idea of spraying water at your private parts? You do it every day in the shower standing up; it’s not all that different sitting down.
While there are a handful of people who never get used to using a bidet, the first time you use it, you’ll probably like the experience. Most of these people did. The main complaint was that the bidet should be equipped with a dryer.

If you plan on traveling to a country where bidets are standard, unless you’re in a hotel with Western toilets, you’ll be shocked the first time you use the restroom. For example, in India, bathrooms sometimes just have a hole in the floor and a hose.
If you’re lucky enough to walk into a restroom with a Western toilet, you probably won’t see any toilet paper. In some areas, bathrooms have toilet paper, but it’s not a standard. You’ll be expected to stand over the hole to do your business and then spray yourself off with the hose, all while praying that you don’t soak your pants.
If you plan to travel, get a bidet and get used to cleaning yourself with water. After using a bidet for just a short period of time, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get one sooner.
